Navigation GNSS modules
The NAVIA NL3333 new navigation receiver is made in an original form factor of 8.7 x 9.5 mm based on a MediaTek MT3333 chipset. In comparison with previous NAVIA modules, NL3333 dimensions are scaled down, and the power consumption is significantly reduced. At the same time, the price remains at a reasonable level.
Relative to other NAVIA modules, NL3333 features a more flexible power management scheme. The power control of the active antenna is brought to a dedicated pin. It allows saving place on the customer’s PCB when using the passive antenna or to put a necessary RF decoupling (inductance) on the board when the active antenna is necessary.
The receiver utilizes the full range of GNSS of systems: GPS, GLONASS, Galileo, QZSS and, in the future, BeiDou. NL3333 has the advantage of high sensitivity, low energy consumption, and fast time to the first fix (TTFF). The module includes a 12-staged noise suppression system. The supply voltage of the module is 2.8 – 4.2 Volts, which allows using it successfully in any device powered from LiPo batteries. The receiver communicates with consumer equipment through the UART using the NMEA protocol.
